Our Programs
Jack Thompson
Sports Camp
The YES! Foundation and Run to Win Outreach Camps have partnered together to bring the Jack Thompson Sports Camps to our community. For four days in the summer, young athletes and kids who just love to play, ages 6-11 from White Center, Burien, West Seattle and surrounding areas can choose to learn fundamental skills in any one of the six sports that are offered! It's always a blast! These camps have been invaluable in building community, connecting families and students to resources and relationships and providing an opportunity for kids to be kids for a few days of summer.
Ala Mai
Ala Mai Garden is a community garden located in White Center, WA. It is tended to by a collection of people who find healing rhythms in their connection to the land. The food and herbs we grow are distributed to families in White Center through The Yes! Foundation's Programs and the White Center Food Bank. We provide a space for children and youth to grow food for themselves and their families, grow and have access to their own cultural foods and learn about sustainability and regenerative agriculture. We are excited to partner with our community members who are interested in this work.

Wolverine Select
Wolverine Select provides a premier basketball program for local youths. Wolverine Select is accessible, community based and will encourage and promote athletic skill development, academic achievement and involvement in our community organizations. Our student athletes (grades 3-11) participate in weekly practices, local tournaments, and programming at our partner sites! Programming includes academic support, mentoring, and other life enrichment opportunities.

This program is almost a year old, we currently have five teams. Our goal is to expand to 12 teams which would serve 130 student athletes within the next two years. Wolverine Select is offered to our families at $75 per year per child. This fee covers uniforms, equipment, tournament costs, transportation, hotel costs when needed and gym fees. Scholarships for partial or full funding are available to all families.

Wolverine Select is a year-round program with four seasons--Fall (September to November), Winter (December to February), Spring (March to May) and Summer (June to August).
